1948-Present        Shell Oil Company in engineering and drilling problems. Moved into oil production
            operations in the field, and then became director of oil transportation by barge and pipeline, and
            Shell's offshore terminal. Became foreman, and then operations superintendent of offshore drilling
            rigs, ranging from shallow waters to pioneering deep water drilling worldwide
