2018 – 2022 – Raytheon Technologies (post-retirement, part time) - Program Manager Development: Created and implemented a professional development program for high potential mid-career program managers. Managed content and improvements to Raytheon’s Program Leadership for Integrated Product Team Leaders Training course.
2015 – Current – Retired
2009 – 2015 – Product Line Leader for Raytheon’s airborne electro-optic and infrared (EO/IR) reconnaissance and targeting systems (Surveillance and Targeting Systems, STS). Encompassed all Raytheon EO/IR Systems that flew on airborne platforms, manned or unmanned. Profit and Loss responsibility for the business including all strategic and operational aspects from product development, marketing, manufacturing, to whole life support. This product line averaged $750 Million in annual sales and supported every branch of the US Military, other government agencies and a variety of international customers.
2008 – 2009 – Deputy Product Line Leader for a Raytheon airborne radar business (RSS) focused on maritime surveillance and terrain avoidance radar systems. Supported the product line leader through oversight of several development, production and sustainment programs in the business.
2006 – 2008 – Operations Director: A variety of special assignments providing a breadth of experience in manufacturing, including leading the transition of radar system manufacturing to a new facility 2000 miles away, embedded in a capture team working on a >$1 Billion proposal and serving as General Manager of a strategic design and manufacturing organization.
1992 – 2006 – Program Manager and Integrated Product Team Leader: Numerous assignments of increasing responsibility in developing and manufacturing complex transmit/receive (T/R) modules for Active Electronic Phased Array (AESA) radar systems. Eventually managed a large portfolio of these programs with subordinate program managers.
1985 – 1992 – Microwave Design Engineer: Design hybrid microwave circuits and Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits (MMIC)
1983 – 1985 – Teledyne Microwave and Teledyne MMIC – Hybrid microwave and circuit designer, primarily power amplifiers.
